About the Bookshop

The Station Bookshop carries a wide selection of donated secondhand books, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records in good condition and at various prices – all of them a bargain!

It also carries a limited range of new publications at discounted retail prices which are connected to the aims of the group – local history, and transport history, guides to Bute, Ayrshire and Inverclyde. We also print a range of postcards depicting the station, its boats and trains.

The gallery displays photos of the building of the 1903 station, and aims to be a resource centre for the station’s history. Information leaflets about places to visit are on display throughout the premises.
